Manfords Comedy Club debut proves a hit8 Oct

Manford’s Comedy Club opened to a warm reception on its debut night a Northwich Memorial Court. With a 260-strong audience seated at round tables and a busy bar. Danny Deegan opened the show and was quick to warm up the crowd as MC, before handing the mic to Gary Delaney. Gary’s better known material drew big laughs from the crowd, especially his more risqué material.
After a 15-minute interval, our MC for the night singled a few ‘lucky’ people out for some light-hearted jokes and introduced Jamali Maddix. Despite feeling under the weather, Jamali delivered a great set, including some edgy Bin Laden material. Following the second interval, Danny Deegan entertained the audience with a story about Murder in Paradise following six months working in the Caribbean.
Finally, headline act Andy Robinson took the stage with a strong, confident start including a variety of songs. With plenty of audience participation, his Ink Spots gags went down a treat. A great way to end the night. With Danny closing the show, Entertainment Manager Phil Harding was delighted with the debut night, “Everyone’s happy the club is back and tickets are selling fast for the next show. Andy Robinson’s Ink Spots routine is well worth checking out on Youtube!”
