6 REAL reasons you need to get fit this summer!

We all know that working out and getting fit is good for you, it adds to your life expectancy, reduces chances of blah blah blah…

Those things are all great, but sometimes you want some more immediate, more relatable benefits. Exercise has loads of this, many of which you may not have thought of! Don’t worry though, we’re here to fill you in.

Anyway, why bother getting fit this summer? Here are 6 alternative reasons you may not have thought of:

1) Running for the ice cream truck

You’ve got to work for that Whippy! Running after the ice cream truck is much easier when you’ve been working on your cardio.

2) Better Instagram pics

Filters and good lighting will only go so far. If you want to look amazing, inspire your friends and rack up likes then hit the gym!

3) Earn that all-inclusive

All-inclusive food and drinks are fantastic until the guilt starts to set in. You don’t have to feel bad about overindulging if you’ve been putting the hours in at the gym though!

4) Tackle the muddy festival fields

Dragging bags, tents, crates of beer and more across a muddy field isn’t the most fun way to start your festival experience, but it’s a lot easier if you’ve been practising with the free weights or by doing Bodypump classes.

5) Keg lifts

You’ve got the friends and family around for the BBQ and everyone fancies a bit to drink – that keg won’t lift itself! Don’t worry though, you’ve been training for this.

6) More energy!

A good workout may leave you feeling tired, but in the long run, you’ll have more energy, whether you need it for chasing the kids around the park, trekking across the festival field, or just to help you enjoy summer for longer.
