Holiday exercises you need to try!29 Jun
Restrictions are lifting and we are all ready to escape to the sun! If you’ve just started getting back into your fitness routine, heading to another country or just enjoying a small staycation can result in your efforts to get back into working out useless. How can you keep up your fitness while enjoying a holiday this summer?
We want to share some simple ways for you to include a little of your fitness routine in your holiday so you can keep it up!
- Walk/Run – it seems a super simple idea, but increasing the cardio on your holiday can not only help wake you up but is a fun way to explore and exercise. Just trying a slightly longer route to your destination can increase your walking throughout the day!
- Resistance bands – weights are not ideal for a sunny summer holiday! Instead, try using resistance bands that work alongside your body weight and help you exercise your muscles. Bands are tiny and perfect to chuck into your bag, this can also offer new exercises and test muscles you wouldn’t normally work!
- Squats – one exercise you can really test is squatting; there are so many variations of squats that you can try out, with or without weights you can test your stamina and strength. Try out jumping squats, walking squats, narrow to wide squats, pulsing squats and so much more! There are super easy exercises that can be adapted to add intensity or variate, squatting is just one of these but you can give lunges, planks or even burpees a try too.
If you want a mini-workout, why not give our Brio Mini Holiday Workout a try?!
