Creating a HIIT workout perfect for you!4 Jul

No one knows your limits in exercise as well as you do! Creating your own high-intensity interval training exercises can help you tailor a workout to your strengths and weaknesses; we have some tips to help you do this.
- Keeping your intervals short will help you focus on burning calories rather than building strength. Having intervals up to 40 seconds long is perfect for helping your body reach maximum efforts; when paired with short rest periods, it keeps your heart rate up and increases aerobic energy!
- You don’t need to make your workout complicated! Finding a few of your favourite more natural exercises can be something you haven’t thought about; something like lunges or squats are often overlooked. They are still extremely useful and can be something familiar to mix into your workout!
- Including exercises that use your whole body are the best to help you burn more calories and energy; examples of this are burpees, push-ups, jumping jacks, and so much more! Try finding some that test your stamina to mix in with your more straightforward exercises.
- If you’re looking to include some weights into your HIIT workout; feel free to grab some dumbbells to mix your exercises up. This can be anything from adding a couple of weights into your squats, or using them when lunging.
