How your work life can change forever!

Colds, flu and other illnesses can really affect our work life! How can you keep yourself healthy and alert to keep your work life the best it can be?

In one year, the average person takes 4.4 sick days per year off work with the highest age bracket being 50-64 years old. Working to reduce your number of sick days per year is as simple as adding a couple of hours each day a week of exercise! Physical activity can help flush out bacteria from your lungs and airways, exercise helps to open your airways and reduce the overall congestion which can reduce the risk of colds, flu and other illnesses.

The NHS conducted research on how exercise can heavily reduce the risks of various diseases, below are some of these stats!

And so much more!

The NHS also states that an adult should do up to 150 minutes of exercise over a week, you can spread this out as much as possible! Exercise can be as simple as a short walk each day, cycling instead of driving and much more. We can often find ourselves keeping to our homes, especially as many of us will be working from home much more than before COVID. Of course, this will heavily affect our lifestyles and change the way we go about our lives. Finding and setting aside time to work out, or add a little more exercise to your lives can not only increase your overall health but help to reduce sickness and change your work life too!
