COVID-19

Saturday 24 July

A few more changes come into effect from Saturday 24 July:

  • Wet changing rooms will be open at all times for public sessions (not including swimming lessons)
  • Casual Swim will return to our timetable and can be booked online or paid for in-centre. The last entry to these sessions is 30 minutes before the end. You don’t need to book these sessions and can simply turn up, however sessions can fill up quickly during the summer holidays so we recommend booking where possible to avoid disappointment.

Monday 19 July

While we continue to operate with some capacity reductions and our enhanced cleaning regime, we’re now in a position where we can start to remove and reduce some of the changes we’d previously implemented. As of Monday 19 July, the following changes will come into effect:

  • Lane Swim sessions will be bookable online and by phone.
  • Gym sessions won’t require booking from 6.30am – 3.30pm or 7.30pm – closing on weekdays or 8.00am – 4.00pm on weekends, so you can just turn up and workout! Please note this is subject to your centre gym opening times.
  • Our dry changing rooms will be open at all times.
  • Some of our fitness classes will increase capacity so there’ll be more opportunities for you to enjoy your favourite workouts!
  • We’re returning to our normal centre entrance and exits. Some centres may use alternate entrances or exits for specific activities, the teams in-centre will be able to tell you about this when you arrive.
  • Our cafes will re-open and will be serving a limited menu.

We’re committed to the safety of our staff and customers, so Brio team members will continue to wear masks while working. We hope for your cooperation in keeping everyone safe by wearing a mask while you’re in the centre too. Hand sanitiser will still be available around the centre and we ask everyone to follow the Hands. Space. Face guidance set out by the government.

Tuesday 6 July - Bookings Changes

As of Tuesday 6 July we are reducing some of the booking requirements for gym sessions at our centres, so you have more freedom when it comes to working out!

If you want to use the gym during the following periods then there’s no need to pre-book, simply turn up, book in with a member of staff and enjoy your workout:

Monday – Friday: 6.30am – 9.30am

Monday – Friday: 7.30pm – 9.30pm

Weekends: All day

Outside of those times you’ll just need to continue pre-booking online. We’re continuing to operate reduced capacities and can only take card payments in our centres, so please bear this in mind. Please note these times are specific to our centres that are open during these hours anyway.

Monday 17 May 2021

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I'm showing signs of Covid-19?

If you are showing any signs or symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), please do not visit our centres, get tested for the virus and self-isolate whilst you await your results, and of course if you test positive for the virus.

Can I freeze my membership?

We will be freezing everyone’s memberships automatically until our centres re-open, so don’t worry about rejoining or cancelling! You’ll get instant access as soon as our doors reopen.

It’s important you don’t cancel your membership or your direct debit. If you do this it means we are unable to restart your membership automatically, which will prevent you booking or getting back into our centres as soon as we can reopen.

What's happening with my membership?

For monthly Direct Debit members, if you paid on Monday 2 November then you’ll be credited to your December payment instead.

Annual members: your membership will be extended based on the length of the closure and the remaining time on your membership.

I'd like to cancel my membership, how do I do this?

Just contact your local centre and let them know you’d like to cancel.

As above though, there’s no need to cancel as we’re automatically freezing everyone. This ensures you’ll be able to get right back to working out as soon as we’re open!

What about swimming lessons?

We are freezing all swimming lessons, which guarantees the same lesson day and time as and when we re-open. Any lessons that will fall during lockdown will be used to reduce your next payment. For those who have pre-paid, the current number of lessons you have left on your account will stay the same when we re-open.

It’s important you don’t cancel your lessons or direct debit. Doing so will mean we can’t automatically restart your lessons as soon as we open, and will lose your child’s place in their lesson.
