Whether you’re looking for part-time work around other commitments, a new career in the leisure industry, or you just want to learn a valuable new skill then this course is for you!
You’ll learn all about lifesaving techniques, how to use equipment such as defibrillators, and how to ensure the safety of others in and around the pool, and then at the end of the course you’ll complete an exam and earn your National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification!
We’re always looking for people to join the Brio Leisure family too, so there’ll be plenty of opportunities to join your local Brio Leisure centre as a Leisure Attendant! It’s an interesting, flexible job that’s perfect for fitting around any lifestyle, so if you’re looking for a new career then it’s a great place to start.
To enrol on the course you must be aged 16 or over, a strong swimmer and able to complete the following:
- Swim 50 metres in one minute or less
- Swim continuously for 100 metres on your front and then your back
- Tread water for 30 second, surface dive to the deepest part of the pool and then climb out of the pool without using the steps
