The Box: How To Get A Full-Body Workout at Winsford’s Newest Gym

Welcome to The Box at Winsford Lifestyle Centre, the new adults-only gym that’s designed to help you achieve your fitness goals faster than ever before. Our top-of-the-line equipment is here to keep your workouts engaging and challenging, so you’ll never get bored. Whether you’re new to fitness or an experienced gym-goer, we have something for everyone. Here are just a few of the many pieces of equipment you can use to take your fitness journey to the next level:

Squat Racks

Squat racks are a fantastic way to build your leg muscles, particularly your quads and glutes. If you’re new to squats, start with a light weight and focus on proper form. Keep your back straight and your feet shoulder-width apart. As you lower yourself into the squat, make sure your knees stay over your toes. Once you’re comfortable with your form, increase the weight and try to complete 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps.

Ski-Ergs

Ski-Ergs are an excellent way to work on your upper body and core. To use the Ski-Erg, grab the handles and pull down while simultaneously leaning forward. As you pull down, keep your core tight and engage your upper back muscles. Complete 3-4 sets of 500 meters to start, and increase the distance and intensity as you become more comfortable.

Rowing Machines

Rowing machines are fantastic for cardio and full-body workouts. To use the rowing machine, sit down and strap your feet in. Grab the handle with both hands and pull back, keeping your core tight and your back straight. Complete 3-4 sets of 500 meters to start, and increase the distance and intensity as you become more comfortable.

Assault Bikes

Assault bikes are perfect for high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Sit down and start pedaling. As you pedal, you’ll feel the resistance increase. Complete 8 rounds of 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off for a quick but intense workout.

Skill Mills

Skill mills are similar to treadmills, but with a curved surface that requires more effort. To use the skill mill, stand at the front and start running. The machine will move based on your speed and effort. Complete 3-4 sets of 30 seconds to start, and increase the time and intensity as you become more comfortable.

Weighted Sleds

Weighted sleds are excellent for working on your leg muscles and improving your cardio. Load up the sled with weight and push it across the gym floor. Focus on using your legs and glutes to push the sled, and keep your core tight. Complete 3-4 sets of 30 meters to start, and increase the distance and weight as you become more comfortable.

Spartan Rigs

The Spartan rig is a versatile piece of equipment that can be used for a variety of exercises, including pull-ups, dips, and hanging knee raises. The rig offers a challenging and engaging workout that will help you build strength and endurance. Complete 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps for each exercise to start, and increase the reps and intensity as you become more comfortable.

At The Box, we believe that fitness should be fun and accessible to everyone. Come join us and experience the power of our top-of-the-line equipment firsthand.
