Care Community Innovation Fund
The Brio Wellbeing team have been awarded funding from the Care Community Innovation Fund via the Cheshire West Integrated Care Partnership to deliver a number of activities to support under-represented groups within the borough.
Ellesmere Port
We are working in partnership with the Westminster Drug Project, to deliver a 16-week course aimed at service users of Westminster Drug Project based in Ellesmere Port. The project will provide personal training, gym access and multisport sessions to assist them with their recovery.
Neston
Neston Recreation Centre is delivering monthly walks, suitable for the whole family. It is completely free to join in, no booking is required. Contact Neston Recreation Centre directly for dates and times.
Winsford
The funding will help to restart the Friday Night Youth Zone which is aimed at 11 – 18-year-olds. To provide a safe space for them to meet Fridays 7 – 9 pm. We are working in partnership with Cheshire Police, Cheshire West and Cheshire Council, Work Zone, Cheshire Change Hub and local community groups. Activities include; gym access, multi-sports, Brio Arcade interactive wall and arts and crafts. Young people will be signposted to further support if needed. This includes:
· Drug alcohol and awareness
· Sexual Health
· Finance worries and budgeting.
· Health advice -eg. smoking, diet etc.
· Online safety including cyberbullying
· Bullying
· First aid
· CV work and getting young people ready for the workplace.
