Have your say on Public Health Wellbeing services6 Apr

Cheshire West & Chester Council are running a consultation on Public Health Wellbeing services and want to hear your views!
What are Public Health Wellbeing services?
Public Health Wellbeing services are currently provided under separate contracts, including:
- Sexual health
- Substance misuse
- NHS health checks
These services provide treatment and support for patients across the borough.
There’s also an Integrated Wellbeing Service which covers:
- Smoking cessation
- Weight management
- Exercise on referral
- Over 75’s free exercise
You might have heard of this service – it’s called Cheshire Change Hub, and it’s brought to you by us here at Brio!
What’s the consultation for?
The Council are proposing to deliver these services in one integrated public health contract, with an increased focus on prevention and changing risky behaviours before problems develop. This would mean that residents of Cheshire West & Chester would have a single “front door” that opens to a range of Public Health Wellbeing services, as well as specialist clinical and support services too. Plus, it gives you the opportunity to have a comprehensive assessment of your health and lifestyle needs, and access to the right services.
This proposed approach is just one option. There are alternative approaches being explored in the consultation too.
