4 Reasons To Try Fitness Classes This Winter!

Never stepped foot in a class? There’s no time like the present!

Whether you’re a seasoned gym-goer or you’re entirely new to working out, there’s no denying that fitness classes are one of the best ways to get active. The rush you get from absolutely nailing a sequence of exercises is only bettered by the endorphins pumping through you as you wipe the sweat off after the class!

For those that have yet to experience this, you might want to take a look at our latest offer. You can enjoy a full Premier membership (including fitness classes) for just £20pm for November, December and January! That’s 3 months to try out as much as you can on our fitness class time table, and there is a lot there to try!

Forget coordination

We get it, not everyone’s graceful on their feet*, but not every fitness class relies on you being a coordinated and matching the instructor to a tee.

If dancing isn’t your thing, then there are still plenty of options. BODYPUMP has you lifting weights, Metafit involves a lot of individual exercises such as push-ups and burpees, and our holistic classes such as Yoga and Pilates are based on much slower movements.

But hey, even if you’re no the most coordinated person, who cares?! Join in with Zumba or grab some glowsticks for Clubbercise. We aren’t about getting everyone moving perfectly in sync. We just want to get you moving! There are no judgements here, so try out all of our classes and see what suits you.

At the risk of blowing our own trumpet, our fitness class timetable is fantastic.

We’ve got something for everyone. If you’re a cardio freak who’s struggling with the poor weather, try a quick Metafit or GymHIIIT class to get your blood pumping! For those looking to build their strength, we’ve got everything from BODYPUMP to Kettlebells to get those muscles working.

Meet people!

Socialising in winter can be tricky. When you get home, and it’s dark outside, it’s easy to slip into your comfies and sit on the sofa for the rest of the evening. How many of us have cancelled plans because we’re just too relaxed in front of the TV?

Fitness classes are not only a great way to catch up with friends while getting in a workout, but they’re also a social hub to meet new people too! When you’re seeing the same people every week, it’s easy to get chatting and form new friendships, which can help make the long winter months go that much quicker.

Try something new every week!

As we mentioned, we’ve got a lot of fitness classes. You’re never stuck for something to do at Brio! Friday night rolls around, and you’ve got no plans, pop out for a Zumba or Clubbercise class and enjoy a dance without the hangover the next day. Fancy a dip but not a fan of swimming lengths? Our aqua classes have the variety and intensity you need to get a good workout while still having fun!
