Activity Price Increases For 2023 & FAQs14 Dec
To our Brio and community members,
Thank you for coming back to see us in 2022! Fair to say it’s been a strange couple of years. We’ve massively appreciated your support, and we will continue to provide you with the best service, a place to feel welcome and a safe space to stay active in the new year.
However, the costs associated with running our centres and swimming pools have dramatically increased in the last 12 months. We’ve always been proud to offer quality health and wellbeing experiences at an affordable price for everyone in our community, and we will continue to do so in 2023.
Unfortunately, though, we’re having to make the difficult decision to increase our fees and charges and add a small 50p pool admission fee for all under 3s from January 1st 2023.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused here. The last thing we want to do is increase prices, especially at a time when everyone is feeling pressure financially.
Please rest assured, though, that whether you’re visiting us for a swimming lesson or heading into the gym, we will always make sure you enjoy every minute you spend with us.
Please see below an example of how some of our pool and dry activities will increase next year. You can see the full price list for all centres here
Don’t forget, you can still save £1 on every activity when you sign up for a FREE Leisure Card.
Frequently Asked Questions
We know you might have a lot of questions going through your head right now, so we’ve tried to cover as many as we can in the FAQs below. If you do have any other queries, please feel free to contact your local centre here.
Does this affect my membership fee?
Nope, your membership price will not change as a result of us having to increase our standard activity fees.
When does this come into effect?
Our new prices will become active from 1st January 2023.
Why are you increasing your prices?
Good question. It’s never an easy decision to increase prices, especially when our services are there for anyone and everyone in our community. Unfortunately, the cost of living crisis has impacted us hugely. Our costs for pool chemicals and centre utilities have drastically increased in the last 12 months. This has left us in a position where we have no other choice but to increase our prices.
Does this impact mine or my child’s swimming lessons?
Yes, we are unfortunately having to make the tough decision to increase our swimming lesson fees as well. The new prices for these are as follows:
The good news is you don’t need to take any further action. If you currently pay for your swimming lessons:
By Direct Debit
Your bank will automatically be advised of the new fees and will make the necessary changes. This does not affect your Direct Debit guarantee. You will also receive an email or letter about this amendment.
By Block Booking Payment
You will automatically be charged the new amount when you top up your lessons at your centre.
Please know that your Direct Debit due to run on the 22nd December will NOT be impacted by the increase in price. The first payment affected will go out on the 22nd January 2023.
Are the new prices the same across all centres?
Mostly, yes they are. But you can view the individual prices for all centres here.
If you do have any further questions, please feel free to contact your local centre and they will be happy to help.
