Basketball & Netball

Basketball and netball are both fast moving games that involve a lot of variety, stopping and starting. Whilst they’re not renowned as aerobic sports they provide great workouts that can help to burn calories, build endurance and improve coordination.

Brio Leisure has netball facilities across a number of our venues with many teams regularly practicing and competing on our courts.

Cheshire Phoenix Basketball Club

Northgate Arena has an impressive basketball show court which is used as the home venue for the Cheshire Phoenix Basketball Club who play in the top tier British Basketball League.

The Jets Foundation

The Jets Foundation works to engage young people in sport offering an opportunity to develop leadership, team building and communication skills.  The club also runs 17 Junior Jets teams employing a team of community coaches who are always on the lookout for up and coming young talent.

It has extensive experience of delivering the game of basketball to participants with a range of disabilities including Autism, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, medical and physical needs.

The Jets foundation is also currently going through the process of establishing Cheshire Wheelchair Jets in partnership with GB Wheelchair Basketball Association, Cheshire West and Cheshire East Councils.
