There’s so much fun to be had in the Brio Leisure swimming pools that you won’t know where to begin!
Brio Leisure offers a great swimming lesson programme to suit children of all abilities from gaining water confidence in our Aqua Tots lessons to stroke development and improvement with our Aqua Kids lessons. There’s even ‘rookie’ lifeguard to teach good water safety and rescue skills.
If you’re serious about swimming or want to try your flippers at something different, like scuba diving, canoeing or lifesaving visit the Swim section of the website for more information!
Fitness classes for over 14’s. Casual Swimming admissions policy applies.
Similar to handball but played in the water, Water Polo is a team sport which incorporates swimming and treading water.
Players have to pass the ball whilst being defended by their opponents and score by throwing the ball into a net defended by a goalie.
Water Polo is guaranteed to wear out even the most active children, requiring strength, flexibility and stamina; and it’s also a great sport to encourage a strong sense of team work!
Water Polo sessions are currently available at Northgate Arena as part of the centre’s Aqua Kids lesson programme. Call the centre directly for more information on how to get involved – 01244 380444.
Our Wet ‘n’ Wild sessions let the whole family spring into life and make a big splash with mats, balls, toys and a giant inflatable obstacle course.
Unfortunately the inflatable is restricted to competent swimmers only, at the discretion of the lifeguards. Children will be asked to complete a 50-metre swim before they can use the inflatable.
Don’t worry if you’re not quite up to it yet though as there’s still plenty of fun to be had elsewhere in the pool!
Family Fun and Family Fun Under 8 sessions are the perfect way to stimulate your child in the water with the use of floats, toys and balls in a controlled and safe environment.
