Fine municipal golf courses are a feature of Cheshire’s beautiful landscape and the course at Hooton is no exception.

The 18 holes offer a fair test of golf, the fairways are quite tricky and the greens are well guarded; giving a course that provides a good challenge no matter what the handicap.

Measuring just short of 6300 yards with a par of 71, Hooton Golf Course is exceptionally well maintained all year round. The challenging closing four holes, which includes the signature 189 yard, 17^th hole presents a great test of ability whether you’re a beginner or experienced golfer.

Hooton Golf Course is a naturally free draining course which allows it to remain open and playable all year round. In fact we are open every day of the year expect Christmas Day!

Club Golf

Hooton Golf Course has an active ladies, men’s and vets section, all of which are both informal and welcoming, holding regular competitions and events. These include:

Junior Golf

Juniors who are confident in playing the full 18 holes can take part in our weekly competitions, teeing off every Saturday from 2.00pm.

Society days, golf days, visiting parties and competitions can be arranged for all golf enthusiasts wishing to enjoy the facilities on offer at Hooton.

Golf Shop

Hooton Golf Course also has a fully stocked golf shop. Clubs and equipment are available for sale or hire and the shop has all the golfing accessories you could need. An equipment repair service is also available and you can even make your play time easier with the hire of a golf buggy.
