1. Clubbercise

We’re kicking things off with the mega popular Clubbercise!

What is it? You’ll love this – set in a darkened room with disco lighting, Clubbercise is a dance class that has you dancing to 90’s club classics while waving glow sticks. It’s a great workout, which will have you burning about 500 calories in a 60 minute class, and seeing all the glowsticks moving in sync is a sight to behold!

Who’s it for? People that fancy a 90’s rave without the hangover or that horrible “What did I do last night?” feeling the next day.

2. Body Pump

Not in the mood for dancin’? We’ve got you covered.

What is it? Body Pump is an intense workout – you’ll use a barbell combined with various exercises to work your whole body, including your legs, back, shoulders, biceps, triceps and more. It’s a tough one, and will definitely leave you feeling sore the next day, but that’s the best thing about exercise, isn’t it? You’ll know straight away that you’ve had a great workout, and it’s an excellent compliment to any cardio you might be doing.

Who’s it for? Those that like the idea of weight training but don’t like the gym!

3. Spin

It’s a tough one, but one definitely worth trying!

What is it? You probably know already, but Spin classes are indoor cycling classes. You’ll be doing sprints, hill climbs and more all to a great playlist, with an an enthusiastic, motivating instructor. They’re hard, but put the work in and you can burn up to 600 calories in a one hour class!

Who’s it for? Those that want a really intense cardio blast that will burnt plenty of fat.

4. HIIT Workout

Short, sharp and effective!

What is it? HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training, you can read more about it in one of our previous blogs. What you need to know though, is that HIIT classes are focused on getting you great results in as short a timeframe as possible. Most classes, including HIIT Workout and Metafit, can have you burning 220 calories in roughly 24 or 25 minutes of working out.

Who’s it for? People that are short on time but still want a tough workout.

5. Pilates

And now for something a little less intense.

What is it? Pilates is a lot slower than the other classes on this list, but that doesn’t mean you’re not still getting a good workout. Pilates is excellent for your core strength, your flexibility and your agility, and will have you stretching and strengthening your muscles.

Who’s it for? Anyone that’d like to improve their core strength, or unwind with stretching, strengthening exercises. Did you know that it’s also great for people that weight train too? It does wonders for their flexibility!
